Kayak Trip on Tallinn Bay
Take a look on Tallinn from a different angle! This kayaking tour is suitable for beginners as well as for experienced kayakers, being considered a rather light activity.
The 3-4 hour kayaking tour in Tallinn will offer a waterbird’s-eye view of Estonia’s capital and its „medievally modern” skyline, plus a slice of history, from its days as a major trading port in the Russian Empire to its prominence in the Danish era, and its more recent Soviet occupation.
As you will paddle past 8 ports, with a collection of military vessels, you’ll get a glimpse of Peter the Great’s marine castle and Patarei – the seldom visited but infamous NKVD prison.
The next stop will be Paljassaare Peninsula, with a walk on sandy Pikakari beach, Tallinn’s closest bird watching area.
From there, you’ll paddle back to the city – enjoying the sweep of graceful architecture – towers, spires, and the onion dome of the Russian Orthodox cathedral – that still punctuates the rapidly changing skyline.
Minimum group size: 12 persons
Estonian National Museum | Tartu
The renewed Estonian National Museum is a gem of contemporary architecture set on a former Soviet military airfield in Tartu. It is Estonia’s largest museum with nearly 6,000 m² exhibition space and a versatile event center. With stunning architecture and cutting-edge technology, it offers expansive exhibitions, themed tours, and workshops.
This vast facility showcases everything about the nation’s development and what it means to be Estonian. The museum features two permanent exhibitions: Encounters, covering Estonian cultural history and everyday life from the Stone Age to today; and Echo of the Urals, tells the story of the Finno-Ugric and Samoyedic peoples. Part of the collections houses photographs and works of art, again reflecting all Estonian folklore, tradition and people. Thanks to the digital facilities, you can discover the typical Estonian house, local cuisine, lifestyles, languages, dialects and traditional clothes.
The museum experience is complemented by temporary exhibitions.
The venue includes a 250-seat conference hall, a black box theater for 160 guests, and seminar rooms for smaller events, offering 7 function rooms in total. Conveniently located near Tartu city center, it’s perfect for conferences, receptions, and more.
